The AI Leader You're Hunting For Doesn't Exist. The Role You Need Does.
The hardest AI roles don't have a hiring playbook yet, so the market hunts for an impossible unicorn. We calibrate the role against your business needs, map it to real market availability, then place the right person or help you upskill the team you already have.
AI governance, security and engineering, including agentic security and AI detection and response. For regulated, high-stakes businesses.

Roles we place
AI security and leadership
The most valuable AI roles sit between the silos: people who govern, build, secure and stress-test AI, not just one of those. The newest of these roles are evolving too fast to have a hiring playbook, so we define what each role really needs and assess for it across disciplines.
Roles: AI governance · AI security · LLM engineering · agentic AI security · AI detection and response · executive AI leadership
We also place adjacent regulatory, quality and compliance roles where AI and regulation meet.
How we work
A practitioner-led advisory process, from defining the role to filling it well.
Calibrate
We begin with a human-led advisory diagnostic: a working session with you to define exactly what the role requires and who should own what. You come away with a clear, realistic picture of the role before any search begins.
Assess
We evaluate candidates against the agreed profile, testing their judgement across the technical, commercial and regulatory demands of the role. Where deep technical verification is needed, we bring in trusted specialist partners.
Place or upskill
We help you fill the gap the practical way: placing the right hire, developing the people you already have, or a combination of both. We recommend the approach that genuinely fits your business, whether or not it ends in a hire.
Where development is the right route, we can help design the pathway and connect you with vetted training partners.
Two ways to work with us
It is one process. You can engage all of it, or just the front end.
A full search. An end-to-end engagement: we define the role, assess candidates, and help you place the right person.
Stand-alone mapping and calibration. A fixed-scope advisory diagnostic for teams shaping a new function before they hire. We map the talent landscape and define the role, so you know exactly what you are looking for before any search begins.
Why NexaReg
We define the role before we fill it
Most searches begin with a job description and hope for the best. We start with an advisory diagnostic that gets the role right first, so you are not months into a search for someone who does not exist.
We assess candidates against how the role actually works
Senior roles in regulated technology demand technical, commercial and regulatory judgement at once. We test for that combination directly, so you don't hire a brilliant specialist who fails the other two-thirds of the job.
We recommend what genuinely fits, whether or not it ends in a hire
Sometimes the right answer is a new hire. Sometimes it is developing the people you already have. We give you the recommendation that fits your situation, not the one that fits our fee.
About
NexaReg is practitioner-led. It is founded and run by Edyta Kosnik, who has spent 14 years inside regulated markets across commercial, governance and risk, working in MedTech, cybersecurity, AI governance and fintech. Credentials include GRCP, GRCA and IAIP (OCEG), RAPS membership and CompTIA Security+.
We know these roles from the inside, which is why we scope them properly before anyone starts searching. Where deep technical verification is needed, we work with specialist partners across governance, data privacy, cyber and LLM engineering.
